I have a 2003 Ford Explorer with about 254000 miles. I just got a new battery installed about a month ago. The protective rubber around the cables is stripped and you can see a little bit of exposed wiring but that's never stopped the vehicle from getting full power. But weeks ago one night I tried to start my vehicle and it just made this clicking noise and the dash lights would flash and no start. Next night I absolutely had no power to the vehicle. The lights, dash lights, locks, and windows wouldn't work. I'm wondering if it's the alternator. I can't jump the battery either. The cables are connected tightly with little or no corrosion. I've completely cleaned off the corrosion before but that didn't solve the issue. Thanks in advance.
