Q: 2001 suzuki xl7 ignition replacement

asked by on March 09, 2017

I lost the only set of keys to my 2001 suzuki xl7 that I bought used 3 years ago. I had a dealership cut a key from the vin number only to find out it would not work because the ignition was changed by previous owner. I was told the only way to fix this is to replace ignition. What parts do I need to order for this? And is the ignition switch the same thing as the ignition lock cylinder?
My car has an automatic transmission.
