Truck screaming
Hello. It sounds like your AC compressor may have failed. If the compressor fails internally it will lock up and cause the belt to squeal and make this noise. The compressor can also release oil when it fails. I would...
Car's rpm goes up and down while idling.
The power train control module controls the idle on the vehicle using different sensors and actuators. If you do not have any codes in the computer for the problem then you may have to have the computer reprogrammed per the...
Replacing pinion bearing on a 2002 Ford Explorer

The dash shows warning lights on, the alarm goes off
It is possible that you could be experiencing an alternator failure (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-alternator). When alternators fail, they can cause a number of electrical issues (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/electric-problems-inspection) to occur that seem unrelated. No reverse and will not down shift.
This may be a sign of low transmission fluid (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/transmission-fluid-service) or a faulty transmission control solenoid. As you know, automatic transmissions use pressurized hydraulic fluid to change gears. Every time a gear change is required, the car's computer activates a...

The powertrain control module (PCM) is responsible for altering the gear rations of the automatic transmission, as this helps control the...
Heater is not working. Replaced thermostat. Both hoses at firewall are cold. Maybe replace core? 2000 Ford F-250 5.4L
Hi - most likely, either the heater control valve (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-heater-control-valve) is not functioning properly, or the heater core itself is clogged enough to restrict flow. I would recommend a heater inspection (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/heater-is-not-working-inspection) by a mobile, professional mechanic, such as one...
