Hello Steven, Two days ago I purchased a 2000 Hyundai tiburon with 123,000 miles on it. On the second day of having the car I started having some issues. I was on the highway going about 60-65 mph and I went to give the car more gas but it wouldn't go about that speed and the check engine light was now on, so I pulled over and turned the car off. When I went to turn the car back on the lights, radio and things came on but the engine wouldn't start. I got the car towed to my house that night. The next morning I got a mobile mechanic out to my house and he tried starting the car and heard the same thing I heard and assumed it was the starter. He went a got a new part and then proceed to turn the car on with the new part and it still didn't work. He then told me i need to get a new engine, I want to know if this is correct or not and if I just simply need a part to be replaced like the MAP sensor? Help please!!!
