Q: 1998 Malibu dies while driving, started back up and made a horrible noise, dies, and will no longer run
I have a 98 Malibu with the 3.1 V6 engine with 145K miles. While driving the car, it suddenly died while going down the road. I was able to put the car in neutral and start it again, and when I did, it made a horrible noise (coming from the engine) and then died again. All the car will do is crank, it will not start. What could possibly be wrong? Where should I start? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
