Q: 1984 Chevy c10, originally had a straight six. Now if I wanted to swap to a bigger engine, how would that effect emissions?

asked by on February 19, 2018

I'm just concerned with emissions. Wondering how I could swap engines and still pass emissions. Move to something bigger. But still pass. Also didn't know if I could use an older engine? And also a modified engine? Would registering as car collector be a way around the situation?

My car has 164000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission.
