Q: 1983 toyota corolla 69,000 miles. Not sure if it's a problem with fuel lines, fuel tank, or fuel filter.

asked by on March 18, 2017

Only has 69,000 miles on it. It takes it a few tries before it'll crank and when it does crank it smells like pure gasoline. When it finally does crank it'll go for a few seconds and then sometimes stall out. But when it gets going for a few miles it'll be fine and then it acts like it doesn't get any gas and it won't accelerate so I'll have to restart it going down the road. Could it be the fuel tank? Or the fuel lines? I have already put a new carburetor new fuel pump and new fuel filter on it.
