Q: 1970 chevy silverado cranks but will not turn over

asked by on

the truck has fuel. when i go to start it it cranks but will not turn over. it just continues to crank
My car has an automatic transmission.

With this ignition system you most likely have issues with the ignition coil or the ignition module. Before this you will need to check to make sure the ignition cap and rotor are not burnt and need to be replaced first. They will arch through and short and not provide spark to get through to the spark plugs.
