I wish I would have known about YourMechanic sooner! Dan called me several hours before my appointment to see if he could come earlier. I said yes, and then I ended up being the one that was late. He was very professional and friendly! The cost of this repair was about half of what I was quoted at a repair shop. I could not be happier with this service, and I have already recommended YourMechanic (and Dan, specifically) to several of my friends! I will absolutely try to make my future appointments with Dan again!

Very knowledgeable mechanic, timely with appointment, had the necessary equipment to perform accurate diagnostics. Offered sound advice as to the caution I should use until car can be repaired. I appreciated this advice very much. There is no doubt Mr. Hutchings cares about his customers' safety.

All about Brake Rotors/Discs Replacement

A brake rotor is a smooth metal disc attached to the wheel hub. Most new cars (1999 and above) come with rotors at each wheel. Older cars may have drums instead of rotors at the rear wheels . Brake rotors play an important part in the braking system. It is the friction between brake pads and rotors that cause your car to slow down and stop. As the rotors wear out (become thin or warped), they are unable to dissipate the heat caused by the braking system. This will cause the brake fluid to boil and reduce the effectiveness of brake system significantly.
