Robert provided good communication on when he would be arriving at my home. He was very efficient and finished under an hour, but more importantly, he fixed my car. Great work and would use him again.

Originally I called to schedule an apt. because I thought my car starter needed to be replaced. I was a big skeptical because it was my first time using Your Mechanic. I made the apt. on Sunday afternoon and within an hour my mechanic Allen called to confirm my apt. and advise what time he will arrive. I was very pleased with how punctual Allen was when he arrived at exactly 7 a.m. sharp. He immediately ran the diagnostic test on my car and advised me that I didn't need a new starter rather a new battery. I was extremely happy because I wasn't spending $259 on a starter; however to change the battery it was $195, but Allen was sweet enough to add a $10 discount since this was my first time using their services, so I ended up paying $185. He ran to the car part store and was back quickly and replaced the battery. He was done with the work and I was on my way to work by 8:30 a.m. I was hoping the battery would have been a little less expensive, but it was worth every penny with the service I received and the convenience that it all happened right in my driveway. Thank you Allen for a great job!!!!!

All about Ignition Coil Replacement

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly. If an ignition coil is not working properly, no spark will ignite the air fuel mixture, causing a misfire. A bad ignition coil can severely damage the engine or catalytic converter. If your car is equipped with “coil over plugs,” then it is recommended that you replace the spark plugs. If your car uses a single coil for the ignition system, it is not necessary to change the spark plugs.
