I can put positive imput about Andrew but was not on location, but the communication from Andrew was timely and informative and judging by what the dealer had to say he seems to be very thorough.

Answers to common Volvo DL questions

Q: After a radiator change, My car is shaking and emitting black smoke. What could be the cause? 2000 Volvo S80
Answered by David
Hello, your symptoms suggest a coolant temperature sensor failure (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/engine-temp-reads-low-by-jamie), or wiring problem (cut wires or other "open circuit" issues). Changing the radiator may have caused the sensor to be bumped, or the wiring for this sensor to be damaged....
Q: Engine smoking

This solenoid is operated by the oil pressure in the engine. If the oil in...

Trusted by thousands of happy car owners

I can't say enough about how pleased I am that I found YourMechanic and Raul. I'm from out of town and didn't know who to contact to fix a truck I was borrowing. I searched the web and found YourMechanic.....thank goodness. I found Raul to be professional, an outstanding mechanic and the price was more than fair.

Ben was great. He arrived early, completed the work quickly & cleanly, and was quite amiable. I didn't have to leave my home and got the maintenance completely with ease - 5 stars.

Very impressed with the quality of work. Ned was on time and on budget. There were no surprise extra costs. Ned even helped me out with my other car, even though I didn't have an appointment for the other car. He took care of all of my car problems and he even found me a coupon for an oil change. I will be using this service again.
