Can you tell us more about what you do at YourMechanic?

My position as a Product Manager at YourMechanic is to focus on our customers. This means I’m involved in many steps of a customer’s experience from booking their initial appointment to how a mechanic performs a customer’s service.

Why did you join YourMechanic?

I joined YourMechanic because I love working at companies that have complicated operational components and hard/exciting problems to solve. I also enjoy working on dual-sided marketplaces because it adds an entirely separate customer into the product mix.

What’s your dream car?

My dream car is the BMW Z3 Roadster that James Bond drove in GoldenEye, because who doesn’t want a vehicle equipped with “Stinger” missiles?

What is one accomplishment are you most proud of?

One accomplishment that I am most proud of is starting a company, building a 12-person team, and building/shipping multiple software products with less than $150,000 in funding and no experience with ever starting a software company.

What keeps you motivated?

Working with smart, hard-working teams keeps me motivated. I grew up as part of many sports team, leadership organization, and community projects. The one thing that always made me more motivated was seeing everyone around me work together to drive something forward.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

When I’m not at work, I love to work on DIY projects where I can put my personal touch on the outcome.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?

As a kid, I wanted to grow up to be a trash-man so I could ride on the back of a garbage collecting truck.

How do you like your eggs and why?

I like my eggs over easy because nothing is better than poking a runny yolk!
