What does the Key-in-Ignition chime?

There is a chime that will alert you when the key is left in the ignition. This chime is helpful to remind you to not lock your keys in the vehicle. To understand the Key-in-Ignition chime.

  1. The Key-in-Ignition chime will sound when the key is in the accessory position and the driver door is open.

  2. Take the key out of the ignition to turn the chime off.

  3. If the chime continues to sound, get the system serviced.
