P140e is a code related to the EGR valve i would focus on the low fuel pressure code first.

When I bought the car, the only time that it failed an MOT was due to all lights not bright enough, I have had the vahicle 14 months, this problem has occurred 2 times, but the times it did , I just stopped the engine for 10 mins. This time the problem has occurred and stayed there. The same codes were visible on the past 3 times and then dissapeared

That is a good thing the issue has stayed hopefully then they can find out what module is playing up who has been looking at it for this issue.
