what can i do nowtyping is better for me
Automotive Expert
Hello. Nice to hear from you today! I'm sorry to hear you are having this problem. I know this can be frustrating. I apologize for the call request. That is an automated offer the website offers to all customers. We can continue here instead. When you checked for fault codes did you use a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that is able to read all of the computers in your vehicle or was it a cheaper handheld code reader that was used?

it is a cheaper hand held
Automotive Expert
Thank you for your reply and that information as this does help me better understand the situation. Please give me one moment to type out some info for you. I’ll be right back!

ok waiting
Automotive Expert
Thank you for holding! The cheaper handheld scan tool or code reader unfortunately is not able to read all of the computers in your vehicle. Anytime the warning light comes up that you are seeing in your vehicle, this indicates a fault is detected by the computer with one of the transmission components. In order to be able to pinpoint the component at fault what needs to be done is to have a fully compatible scan tool plugged into your vehicle's data port that can read all of the computers in your vehicle to see if any fault codes are stored with this issue. Once this has been done, any codes that come up can then be diagnosed to help pinpoint and repair this issue. This will require the use of a high-end scan tool that can read all of your vehicle's computers. If you do not have a scan tool to check the fault codes yourself a shop or dealer can check the fault codes as well as diagnose the issue for about a 1-hour labor charge ( around $100 ). The cost to repair the problem varies as it depends on which component has failed that requires repair or replacement. This is the only way to locate which transmission component is causing this fault so it can be repaired properly from there to resolve this issue. Once repaired the code is then cleared out with the scan tool to resolve this problem.

do you have any likely codes as your experience?
Automotive Expert
There are several codes that can come up with this issue. I don't have a list I can show you on the codes due to how many different codes can set with this fault but I can say that some of the most common causes are a fault with one of the shift solenoids in the transmission acting up to where one of them has to be replaced. The only way to know for sure is to have the codes read out so it can be diagnosed properly.

Is there more I can help you with on this?

Automotive Expert
O.k., if you do need anything else let me know!

ok
Automotive Expert
Thanks!

I did the scan and dtc is p0776.
Automotive Expert
This code indicates pressure control B solenoid is off. This usually indicates the solenoid itself is faulty and has to be replaced. I recommend having the wiring checked at and leading to the transmission for any issues before having the solenoid replaced.

The issue I have is to identify the solenoid. Do you a diagram for this type of gearbox
Automotive Expert
Unfortunately, my information does not cover the solenoid location for this model gearbox. I apologize for that. In some cases, you can get a print out of the location at no charge to you from a local parts store or dealer parts department so they can show you the location of it.

How do I flash the high beams?
You can briefly flash the high beams if you need to get someone’s attention. To do this, pull the turn signal lever (which protrudes from the left side of the steering wheel) towards you briefly, and then release it.
