Patrick was very helpful and discovered some other important issues with our Honda. He even came back the next day to fix a small issue that needed an additional part, at no charge. 2002 HONDA CIVIC - TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

Hi Patrick, you did a t-belt and water pump replacement where exactly and without a lift? Please elaborate how you did this. Thank you.

Hello. Replacing a timing belt for that particular model of vehicle only requires that the passenger wheel be removed to access the lower part of the engine. This can be done with a regular jack and jackstands. The procedure itself requires few special tools, and can be done with the vehicle parked in a driveway. Most services can actually be done without a lift, however being able to raise the vehicle high enough to freely work underneath it is favorable, as it can greatly reduce time and make the work easier.
